Pontarlier Absinthe Festival

Pontarlier Absinthe Festival (Saturday, 23 July 2011)

Organised around the absinthe harvest, the festival has been hosted by Pontarlier Town Council since 2004 and is appreciated both by local residents and tourists of all ages.

This popular and festive summer event is a reminder that the absinthe plant is very much a part of the town's many-faceted heritage (historic, economic, commercial, gastronomic, medical and cultural).
